Nagel Rice Defeats Boy Scouts of America’s Attempt to Toss Lawsuit
Nagel Rice defeated the Boy Scouts of America’s latest attempt to dismiss the lawsuit brought against them by three scouts who were sexually abused by an assistant scout master for Troop 173 in Parsippany, New Jersey over twenty years ago. A Superior Court judge in Bergen County denied the Boy Scouts’ motion and ruled that the plaintiffs’ claims can go to a jury. Bruce Nagel said “I am pleased that the court has permitted this case to proceed to a jury and I look forward to finally holding the Boy Scouts responsible for these horrific acts.”
