$160 Million Class Action Settlement Approved in Flawed Health Plan Reimbursements

June 29, 2018 – The Federal Court granted final approval to a $160 million class-action settlement involving the under-reimbursement by Horizon for out-of-network ambulatory surgical centers. Horizon used a reimbursement methodology that violated the law and agreed to cease using that method and use a different process. Bruce Nagel, Robert Solomon, and Nagel Rice were appointed class counsel. The Federal Court also approved a legal fee of $9 million.
