Bruce Nagel and Sue Connors obtained a partial settlement for $5,250,000 in a medical malpractice/wrongful death case on behalf of a 41-year married father of three children who was misdiagnosed with benign swelling in his lower extremities and released from the emergency department. Two days later he suffered cardiac arrest. The claims included the failure to recognize the abnormalities shown in the result of a blood test for right sided heart failure, and failure to order the appropriate follow up tests to rule out a more serios condition.
